The Media Relations Specialist manages First Steps' relationships with print, online, and broadcast media, securing coverage for all KNI group clients and ensuring accurate, positive representation across all news and media platforms. Key Responsibilities - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets nationally and locally - Write, edit, and distribute press releases,- media advisories, and official statements for KNI group clients - Proactively pitch story ideas and features to relevant media outlets - Monitor daily media coverage across all KNI group clients and produce regular media reports - Respond to media enquiries on behalf of KNI group clients in a timely and professional manner - Manage the Company's media contacts database, keeping it current and comprehensive - Coordinate journalist visits and media attendance at KNI group events - Support crisis media management under the direction of the Head of PR - Track and analyse media sentiment and share of voice for each KNI group client - Any work required within the relevant field required by the company. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Volume and quality of earned media coverage per month per client - Response time to media enquiries - Media contact database size and quality - Accuracy and professionalism of all press materials - Media sentiment scores for each KNI group client
