Standard Economics is building a global, autonomous consumer finance system that runs debit, credit, underwriting, fraud, compliance and servicing end to end, with the mission of giving every person on earth equal access to money and financial products. The company is led by former senior executives from X/xAI and SpaceX, including CEO Evan Jones (former Head of Product at X/xAI), CTO Payam Abedi (former Engineering Lead on X Money) and VP of Revenue & Growth Paul Del Vecchio (formerly SpaceX Human Spaceflight and Starlink Enterprise). Its engineers come from X/xAI, SpaceX, Tesla, OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Robinhood and Citadel. One of its investors, a Stripe board member, calls it "Starlink for money," because the platform learns from user behavior to grow credit and trust faster than traditional financial systems. The company is expanding quickly, with LATAM and Southeast Asia as its main markets, and works with governments and large family conglomerates to make finance more efficient and create economic opportunity for whole populations.
