Aniday becomes the contracting party with your contractor through its own entities in Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia and vetted partner entities across Asia. We run the classification check, sign a compliant local contract, collect the tax and IP paperwork, pay in local currency, and carry the liability if the classification is ever challenged. You direct the work; we hold the paperwork.
A Contractor of Record (COR) is a licensed local company that legally engages an independent contractor on your behalf. Aniday's entity signs the contract for service, assesses whether the role is genuinely independent under local law, invoices you, pays the contractor in local currency, keeps the tax and intellectual-property paperwork, and is liable if the classification is challenged. It is the contractor-side equivalent of an Employer of Record: EOR when the person is an employee, COR when the person is a contractor. Unlike contractor-management software, the COR is your counterparty — not just a tool for sending payments.
Engage specialists in a new country in days. Aniday's local entity is the contracting party, so you never register, file or open a bank account there.
Every engagement is tested against the country's employee-versus-contractor rules before it starts. If it is really a job, we tell you and move it to EOR.
If a contractor engaged under our COR is later reclassified, the back taxes, social contributions and claims are Aniday's to resolve — that is what the fee buys.
One invoice to you; local bank transfer to the contractor in VND, MYR, SGD, IDR, PHP, INR and more, on the cycle written into the contract.
Written IP assignment, confidentiality and data-handling clauses in every contract — because in most Asian jurisdictions commissioned work stays with the creator unless assigned in writing.
Built in Asia, for companies hiring into and out of Asia:
Aniday Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), Aniday LLC (Vietnam) and Aniday Sdn Bhd (Malaysia) are the contracting parties — not a reseller's partner three steps away.
Each country page below states the actual test, tax treatment and thresholds we apply, with sources. You can check our work.
Start someone as a contractor, convert them to an employee when the role grows — same contact, same contract history, no re-onboarding.
50,000+ headhunters across Asia source the specialist; the COR engages them. Trusted by 5,000+ companies.
We review scope, hours, supervision and exclusivity against the country's rules and confirm COR is the right vehicle — or recommend EOR.
Aniday's entity signs with the contractor: deliverables, fees, confidentiality, IP assignment, data handling and termination terms, in the local language where the law requires it.
Identity and tax-residency check, local tax ID, bank details, VAT/GST status, and a compliance pack for your auditors.
Approved invoices roll into one Aniday invoice to you; the contractor is paid in local currency; withholding is applied where the country requires it; annual summaries are kept.
Each page states the local employee-versus-contractor test, the tax and withholding rules, VAT or GST thresholds, IP defaults and payment rails — with sources.
Read real success stories and see why Aniday is a trusted partner for compliant hiring across Asia.
A Contractor of Record (COR) is the contracting party with your contractor and carries the classification liability. "Agent of Record" (AOR) is the older staffing-industry term for the same idea, though some providers use it for a lighter, agency-style service. Contractor management software only handles contracts, invoices and payouts — you remain the counterparty and the classification risk stays with you. If you want the risk off your books, you want a COR.
An Employer of Record employs the person under a local employment contract with payroll, social contributions, leave and statutory protections. A Contractor of Record engages a genuinely independent contractor under a contract for service — no employment, no social contributions, no leave. The test is the nature of the work, not your preference: supervised, full-time, ongoing work is employment in every country we cover. We tell you which applies before you sign.
Through our own entities in Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia, and through vetted partner entities in Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nigeria — the nine countries listed above. For contractors elsewhere in Asia or beyond, tell us the country and we will confirm whether we can engage them and on what terms.
It depends on the country and on whether the payer is local. Singapore and Malaysia do not withhold on payments to resident individuals; Vietnam withholds 10% personal income tax on service fees to resident individuals without a labour contract; the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Nigeria apply withholding on professional fees at country-specific rates. Under our COR, Aniday's local entity is the payer, so the correct withholding is applied and remitted locally — you receive one invoice.
A flat monthly fee per contractor, quoted on volume and country — not a percentage of what the contractor is paid. Contractor fees pass through at cost in local currency. Ask for a quote with the countries and headcount and you will have it within one business day.
