This position will work directly with the Chief Technology Officer (Swedish, Engineer) and Product manager (Canadian) to build high performance, scalable systems. You will be migrating a legacy product (PHP) to a new architecture (Go). The work will require working with, and breaking apart a monolithic architecture to develop multiple micro-services in new architecture. • Design and build high performance, scalable and testable components for the platform • Work with CTO to plan, design and build new system • Create clean, efficient, well-documented code • Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues • Participate in code reviews • Design and write cutting-edge backend services for Edu2Review

• Programming experience (5-7+ years) • Work experience in PHP (2+ years), Go (1+ years) • Experience in system architecture, working with AWS services • A passion for quality and best practices but understands the balance between perfection and delivering value quickly • Strong understanding of back-end workflows • Taking ownership and responsibility of components and modules • Familiarity with entire web stack, web protocols, and performance optimization • Advanced level of spoken of English • Excellent communication skills, sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills, ability to think critically system growth and stability • Collaborate with product and experience teams to define and prototype features
