Designer Game #UI/UX UX Design UI / UX Game Design Interaction Design
- Design end-to-end UI systems for AAA FPS games: HUD, weapon customization, loadout management, shop/monetization, social/party systems, season pass, settings, and onboarding flows. - Create complete UI architecture documentation: screen maps, user flow diagrams, wireframes, interaction specifications, and state logic. - Design responsive UI layouts that work across PC, console, and mobile platforms. - Define visual design systems: component libraries, icon sets, typography rules, color systems, animation specifications, and spacing guidelines. - Ensure UI designs are technically feasible within Unreal Engine 5 UI frameworks (UMG/Slate). - Produce production-ready UI assets and specifications for client development teams. - Collaborate with Art Directors and game designers through structured review cycles, iterating based on feedback. - Work with 2D concept artists to ensure character/weapon UI elements (portraits, icons, rarity frames) align with the overall visual system. - Deliver organized, annotated design files with redline specifications, interaction notes, and edge-case documentation. - Build the team's UI/UX capability from the ground up — establish workflows, quality standards, and delivery templates. - Define and maintain a reusable UI component library for FPS game projects. - As demand grows, recruit and mentor junior UI designers to build a dedicated UI/UX team. - Stay current with FPS game UI trends, competitive analysis, and platform-specific design guidelines.
- 5+ years of professional experience in game UI/UX design - At least 1 shipped AAA FPS/TPS title where you owned or co-owned the UI system design (verifiable in game credits). - Professional portfolio demonstrating FPS/shooter game UI work with system-level thinking (ArtStation, Behance, or personal site). - Figma and/or Sketch (expert proficiency; interactive prototypes and design system libraries). - Unreal Engine 5 UMG/Slate (understanding of real-time UI constraints; hands-on implementation experience is a strong plus). - Proven ability to design complete UI systems from scratch — full information architecture, user flows, and component systems, not just individual screens. - Deep understanding of FPS game UI patterns: combat HUD, weapon modification interfaces, inventory systems, matchmaking flows, social features, and live-service content (season pass, battle pass, events). - Strong visual design skills: clean, modern UI aesthetics appropriate for realistic military/tactical FPS games. - Systems Thinking: Ability to see the full interaction model across an entire game, not just isolated screens. - Leadership: Experience managing designers, establishing standards, and building team workflows from scratch, with at least 3 years in a lead or manager-level role for Lead level - Feedback Integration: Able to receive creative direction from multiple stakeholders and translate it into structured, deliverable-ready design documentation. - Communication: Ability to read and write in English for daily communication with international teams and clients.
