Soft recruitment skills Strong communication skills. Being able to communicate through a variety of different channels is an essential skill for recruiters.... Confidence.... A natural curiosity.... Good listening skills.... Ability to read and display positive body language.... Reliability.... Big picture thinking.... Generally, commissions are payments made in addition to regular wages. But in recruiting, it's not uncommon for a recruiter to only earn commissions. Agencies may decide to pay recruiters in only commissions.
