Product Management Collaborating Leadership Skills Project Management Communications
1. Driving end to end successful launch of the regional new products. a) Coordinate with country marketing team and across regional functional team from consumer insights, data analytic, product development feasibility of the key regional innovation projects. b) Ensure the new products to follow strictly brand architecture, brand guidelines, pricing positioning, business model including driving a culture of rapid experimentation to achieve business growth objectives. c) Keep track the project progress and escalate the project issues in monthly IGR meeting. d) Build innovation KPIs dashboard (market share, volume & value sales, margins) e) Master brand customer journey and provide the guidance on livery, brand communication, campaigns, GTM activities for new product launches. 2. Develop regional innovation roadmap. a) Co-develop innovation strategies with country head of marketing. b) Responsible for working across functions to ensure the innovation projects feasibility. c) Set the project priorities across countries to identify the regional projects driving regional growth ambition. 3. To lead cross-functional teams to translate strategic innovation plan into annual projects. a) Work with countries on specific identified challenges with the purpose of coming up with the projects to address these challenges. b) Work with countries to identify the growth opportunities with the purpose of developing the local fit innovation projects. c) Set KPIs for effective innovation projects with the consideration for the short term and long term impact. 4. Market & Competitor Intelligence: update innovation activities from key competitors. a) Collect data on new product launch cross the countries. b) Keep an eyes on the global industry trends to feed in the innovation plan. 5. Facilitating regional IGR & PMR meeting. Keep track the innovation project progress and prepare monthly regional innovation performance dashboard. 6. Develop regional portfolio strategy to achieve business growth objectives. a) Work with R&D team for annual bench-marking analysis to understand the product performance versus competition across the countries. b) Building the performance edges over competitors and recommending price positioning for further volume and value growth through share gain. c) Develop the compelling product story, engage consumers’ emotion to improve the category involvement.
- Excellent communication skills in English- written & spoken. Should have the gravitas and ability to hold their own in conducting meetings/workshops with stakeholders who will be often very senior to the individual. - Sharp and analytical- have the ability to interpret both quantitative and qualitative data. - Excellent MS Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel is a must) - Familiarity and comfort with secondary databases, search engines, business research tools would be an added advantage. - Previous work experience in Strategy/ Market Intelligence & Planning is essential but not the only criteria. Outstanding candidates with proven track record but no previous experience in Strategy and Planning will be considered. - Total work experience in Business/Marketing min 7-10 years of which at least 4 years should have been in Paints.
