Job Overview And Responsibility

We are looking for an experienced M&A professional to join our Advisory team as a Senior Associate. You will take ownership of deal execution – leading due diligence workstreams, managing financial analysis, and presenting findings directly to buyers and corporate clients. This role involves significant client-facing responsibility and the opportunity to mentor junior team members while working on cross-border transactions for Japanese and international clients. Duties and Responsibilities • Financial due diligence on M&A transactions: analyze target company financials (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), identify risks, and assess deal viability. •Develop and review valuation models (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions) and provide recommendations to clients. •Prepare and present high-quality due diligence reports, investment analyses, and deal documentation to buyers and stakeholders. •Lead on-site client engagements: conduct management interviews, data room reviews, and operational assessments. •Manage project timelines, coordinate with multiple workstreams, and ensure deliverable quality. •Mentor and guide junior analysts on financial analysis methodology, report writing, and professional development. •Drive business development by identifying new deal opportunities and maintaining client relationships. •Support post-merger integration (PMI) planning and execution. •Lead or contribute to Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) consulting engagements as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. •Minimum 2 years of experience in M&A advisory, transaction services, financial consulting, or investment banking. •Strong command of financial statement analysis, valuation methodologies, and due diligence processes. •Proven ability to manage deal execution and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. •Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis); proficiency in VBA, Power Query, or data analysis tools is preferred. •Fluency in English (Business Level); •Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor junior team members. •Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
