Job Overview And Responsibility

Customs Brokerage & Compliance - Supervise and directly perform customs declarations for import/export and cross-border shipments via Ecus Vnacss system with accuracy and compliance. - Execute customs clearance for trucking and bonded shipments across key borders (e.g., Huu Nghi, Lao Cai, Mong Cai, Noi Bai). - Ensure proper classification of HS codes, import/export duties, and preferential tariffs under FTAs. - Maintain updated knowledge of customs laws, decrees, and circulars to advise customers and internal teams. - Lead and participate in customs–trucking project implementation, ensuring smooth operation between Vietnam and China or regional countries. Customer & Advisory Role - Provide expert consultation on selecting the right customs procedures for each shipment type (temporary import/export, bonded, EPE, etc.). - Guide new EPE/FDI customers through setup processes such as registering production base, defining inspection locations, obtaining inspection codes, and applying for specialized licenses or permits. Product & Commodity Handling - Advise on the importation process for new commodities, including cases requiring testing, MOIT/MOH certificates, or quality conformity announcements. - Proactively communicate with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies for procedural clarification. Leadership & Strategy Alignment - Lead and coach the customs and trucking team in alignment with WFS’s strategy for integrated cross-border logistics solutions. - Take ownership of customs–trucking projects from planning to execution, ensuring WFS standards of quality, speed, and compliance. - Develop and maintain a training plan for continuous improvement and professional development. Vendor & Partner Management - Manage customs brokers, trucking vendors, and subcontractors to ensure service level, cost efficiency, and performance quality. - Work with overseas agents and vendors to execute key customs-trucking projects. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement - Join sales and management teams in meetings with customers and vendors to discuss customs processes, cost structures, and solutions. - Support project bidding, pricing proposals, and customer onboarding with accurate procedural advice. Reporting & Performance Tracking - Prepare monthly performance reports for the Branch Manager and Managing Director, including declaration volume, accuracy rate, vendor performance, and improvement plans.

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Customs, or Supply Chain Management. - Minimum 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, including 2+ years in a supervisory role. - Expert-level proficiency in Ecus Vnacss system and practical customs declaration. - Strong understanding of Vietnam Customs procedures, including EPE, bonded warehouse, and FDI setup processes. - Good communication and problem-solving skills; proactive and detail-oriented. - Proficiency in English and Vietnamese (Chinese is an advantage).
