Job Overview And Responsibility

As a Business Development Executive, your primary responsibilities will include: Lead Generation & Market Expansion - Identify and qualify potential clients across biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO, academic, and healthtech sectors. - Conduct research on key accounts, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to uncover new business opportunities. - Build and maintain structured lead lists and sales pipelines using CRM tools. Relationship Building - Cultivate long-term relationships with senior stakeholders such as biotech founders, R&D leaders, and scientific teams. - Represent NYB at conferences, roadshows, networking events, and partner meetings. - Maintain regular communication with key accounts to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with product, scientific, and marketing teams to align client feedback with product development. - Contribute insights to refine NYB’s commercial strategy and market positioning. - Assist in building sales decks, case studies, and commercial documents. Reporting & Performance Tracking - Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, activities, and opportunities. - Prepare weekly/monthly reports on sales progress, pipeline status, and performance metrics. - Continuously analyze outreach tactics to improve conversion rates and engagement quality.

Required Skills and Experience

Education & Background - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Economics, or a related field. - 1–4+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or account management. - Experience in biotech, pharma, AI/SaaS, or healthtech is an advantage. Professional Skills - Strong communication and presentation abilities; comfortable engaging senior stakeholders. - Ability to learn and articulate complex scientific or technical concepts. - Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent). - Strong organization, planning, and time-management skills. - Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
