About the role SMG Real Estate (a business unit of SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG) is running the top 2 leading digital real estate classifieds platforms in Switzerland. We empower everyone to make the best decisions in Swiss real estate and bring commercial real estate agencies, owners and potential tenants and buyers together. We count more than 15 million visits from people who use our portal and have more than 100 million page views per month. The Platform Team at SMG Real Estate owns the infrastructure on top of which our external facing products are built. Platform team sits closely together with Developer Experience team to provide and support the platform other engineering teams use to develop, deploy and operate their systems. Job Description In this job, you will... - Design, implement, and operate the core cloud infrastructure revolving around reverse proxies, api gateways, DNS delegations, and networking setup. - Maintain and evolve the Kubernetes clusters that run our containerized workloads. - Evaluate and implement AWS infrastructure automation solutions. - Support the engineering teams with creating secure and reliable cloud applications. - Promote, mentor, and facilitate best cloud practices within the Engineering. - Challenge the status quo and continuously improve the production environment. - Review and improve the existing backup / disaster recovery processes.
