Job Overview And Responsibility

We are Smulie (backed by Amanotes, Thinkzone, and TNB Aura VC): a young and spirited AI Edtech startup on a mission to revolutionize instrument learning more effectively through our advanced internal cutting-edge AI technology. We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Mobile App (UI/UX) designer to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone with a background in mobile app design/product owner. Your role is pivotal in Smulie's key flagship product, Simpia: (Learn and play any song you love with AI), an innovative app that leverages state-of-the-art technology to personalize learning, providing users with an immersive and impactful musical journey while helping them learn and play any song they love via Simpia’s AI generated learning content. Objectives: - Bring your skills and passion to millions of piano learners worldwide. - Be an expert on industry trends and the competitor landscape to evolve our thinking. - Become proficient in designing learning experiences that leverage app mechanics, rewards, and engagement strategies to motivate and engage users in music learning. Responsibilities: - Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions. - Design intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for iOS and Android mobile applications. - Conduct user research and usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve upon designs. - Make data-driven app flow design decisions by developing the ability to analyze user data, conduct usability testing, and derive actionable insights to inform iterative design improvements and optimize user engagement and learning outcomes. - Analyze in-app player data to derive user insights and translate them into product features. - Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile app design.

Required Skills and Experience

- 1 - 4 proven years of experience as a mobile UI/UX designer/product owner with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile app design projects. - Proficiency in design tools such as Canvas, Figma, or similar software. - Solid understanding of mobile app design principles, including Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design. - Fluent in English to conduct user research for US product - Ability to translate user needs and business requirements into engaging and intuitive design solutions. - Experience with user research methodologies, usability testing, and feedback incorporation. - Deep knowledge of app performance statistics (Retention, LTV, ROI, FTUE, etc.). - Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a cross-functional team.
