We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Business Analyst to play a crucial role in our software development projects. The Business Analyst will be responsible for clarifying project objectives and requirements, shaping the development direction, approving requirements, and documenting the project. This position will actively contribute to the success of our projects by collaborating with stakeholders, development teams, and end-users to gather and define business requirements, ensuring that our software solutions meet the client's needs and business goals. Duties & Responsibilities ● Identify the primary purpose of a software project and outline the issues the solution should address including the value proposition. ● Identify business needs and pain points to be addressed by the software solution. ○ Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their expectations. ○ Utilize various techniques for efficient requirement gathering, such as building prototypes, offering questionnaires, document analysis and monitoring existing software (benchmarking). ○ Assist in creating project timelines and identifying potential risks and challenges. ● Define and prioritize business requirements. ● Build a clear product backlog and seek clarification from stakeholders for any unclear requirements. ○ Validate and ensure that requirements align with the client's business goals. ○ Create user stories and acceptance criteria. ○ Describe functionalities from the end user's perspective to serve as a basis for testing and validation. ○ Suggest implementation strategies that are convenient for software engineers and stakeholders. ● Plan development tasks based on established business requirements. ● Document the software development process and establish specific standards and guidelines. ● Work closely with software engineers to ensure the project remains on track and meets stakeholder needs. ● Monitor progress and explain the business side of the solution to the development team. ● Ensure delivery of expected business value. ● Develop User Acceptance criteria based on user stories to ensure the software meets business requirements. ● Document test results, including identified issues and their resolutions. ● Document business logics and keep project documentation up to date. ● Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
