- Accountability for SRE, DevOps, and QA: - Responsibility for system readiness. - CI/CD Pipelines: - Design, implement, and be accountable for CI/CD pipelines. - Develop, maintain, and enhance automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or other similar platforms. - Infrastructure Management: - Set up, configure, deploy, and manage infrastructure resources such as servers, virtual machines, containers, container orchestration services (Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Use infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Helm, Terraform, or CloudFormation in various production environments. - Provide support for project teams during development environment setup and upgrades. - System Monitoring and Optimization: - Own the health and performance of our systems. - Implement monitoring solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the systems. - Use tools like Prometheus, Grafana, EFK Stack, or Datadog to monitor and analyze system metrics, and proactively identify and resolve issues. - Automation and Scripting: - Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Ansible, Python, or PowerShell) for automating repetitive tasks, system configuration, and deployment processes. - Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and quality assurance, to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. - Security and Compliance: - Implement security best practices and participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. - Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. - Continuous Improvement: - Identify areas of improvement in processes, tools, and technologies. - Propose and implement solutions to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability. - Documentation: - Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides. - Engineering Support: - Lead engineering support for various project groups during infrastructure stack and technology component upgrades (e.g., Keycloak updates).
Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Experience - Minimum 4+ years experience in a similar role, preferably in a software development or IT operations environment. - Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Bash, Ansible, Python, PowerShell). - Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD). - Strong proficiency in hardening, deploying, and supporting a system using orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in a production environment. - Strong proficiency in deploying, managing, and maintaining Kubernetes and network environments with IaC in production environments. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Helm, Terraform, CloudFormation). - Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration and networking concepts. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). - Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls. Skills - High English language proficiency, excellent communication, and collaboration skills. - Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
