With close to five years of professional experience working in elementary, junior, and high school in the United States, Taiwan, and now Vietnam, I would like to extend my skills to teach at an international school. Aside from entering my teaching credential program in the United States right after college, I have extensive first-hand experience and background in education teaching to diverse populations in various school settings. With my extensive traveling background since I was a five-year-old and teaching experiences, I believe these two components will align with many international schools' ethos of providing academic and personal growth in a dynamic and challenging learning environment to teach the students of Vietnam and the world. I have displayed these two qualities throughout my life: during infancy, after college, during and after graduate school. These two qualities are displayed in two components below: 1.) Teaching Experiences in Diverse School Settings: I educated and guided students at Emerson and Baldwin Elementary Schools, Jefferson Middle School, and Huntington Park High School throughout the city of Long Beach and Los Angeles, USA. I have also taught English at Hess English Center in Keelung, Taiwan, and now at ILA in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 2.) Studying & Living Abroad: In 2013, I was grateful for the opportunity to study abroad as an exchange student in the Buddhist Studies Department at Fo Guang Shan University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. I studied and built bridges with the native Taiwanese by learning Mandarin, customs, and cultures. Overall, I have traveled and lived in over ten different countries throughout my life. Living abroad has broadened my horizon and life journey in many ways. Living abroad in different countries and extensive backgrounds in education make me a viable teaching candidate at your school.
