All my life I have been passionate and curious about people, what makes them tick and how they find their success. I spent many years working in campus recruitment and early career development for large organisations in the UK and Asia, achieving recognition for my work, seeking new opportunities to improve both myself, my team and the work that we did. I loved my job - meeting people, travelling and helping my organisation to recruit and develop the best through the most effective methods. Then a couple of things changed, all of a sudden I had an extra two little people in my life and we moved to a small town in Norway. It was a great opportunity to take a breath (of fresh air) and to think about what I had achieved so far. It gave me a different perspective on life and how I wanted to live it. So that is why I set up The Talent Lighthouse - a consultancy supporting the transition of emerging talent into the workplace. I love meeting new people, helping them find their career path but I also like working with companies to help them keep the right people they have hired! The Talent Lighthouse became my third baby and I'm very happy to have seen it grow up. But, with all things we also need to keep moving on. Careers are so fluid that during the course of each life adventure new exciting opportunities will continue to present themselves and so it is no surprise that one of the consultancy opportunities I had, has developed into a permanent full time role. I'm delighted to be working in one of the best asian focused organisations and to be in a role centred on developing their early career talent to take on the opportunity to be a truly future facing next generation leader. The Talent Lighthouse in the meantime will go on hold but if and when I come back to it, I know it will hugely benefit from this current opportunity. Watch this space!
