- Develop, construct, and engineer microbial strains to produce recombinant proteins and optimize their yield and productivity to meet commercialization requirements. - Develop hypotheses and implement approaches to identify cellular metabolic bottlenecks and define new targets for strain engineering. - Contribute to experimental design, participate in technical discussions, and present findings regularly in team meetings. - Work collaboratively with other team members.
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Microbiology, or a related field. - Extensive experience in recombinant protein expression, particularly in filamentous fungi and/or yeast. - Proficient in microbial genetic engineering (e.g., Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, CRISPR), molecular biology benchwork, standard laboratory procedures, and sterile techniques. - Experience with analytical chemistry instruments (e.g., LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC). - Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex biological datasets. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
