Responsibilities Administration - Support the AVP (Marine Systems), EDC and Team Leader (MS) at VCC Project Execution - Prepare technical specifications for equipment procurement (e.g. major equipment) and perform technical evaluation of vendor's bid. - Prepare and review mechanical and piping designs and Bill of Material for Approval, Working and As-Built. - Arrange for Material Take Off of equipment, mechanical & piping component and instrumentation. - Prepare and review machinery layout arrangement. - Perform 3D modelling for Piping and HVAC system and preparation of detail drawings. - Manage and check technical information of external suppliers of equipment and systems and coordinate/cooperate with engineers from other trades in the organization. - To check drawings/documents and material list and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specifications, installation control documents, Classification and Statutory Rules/Regulations. - Liaise with shipowners and surveyors. - To control and monitor the creation of part number and description of material/item. - To ensure equipment specification, installation control document and interface design specification are properly maintained, disseminated and use for preparation of design activities. - Point of contact with the production team to provide design and engineering solutions onsite where necessary. - Participate in tests and trials, when required. - To advise Department Head on work progress/status and shortcomings on technical issues on project under his charge. Competency Development - Keep abreast with current technological developments and products. - Keep abreast with Classifications Rules, military and industrial standards relevant to design activities.
Kỹ năng và kinh nghiệm tối thiểu
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering. - At least 4-5 years of experience in engineering design in Marine/Offshore/Oil & Gas industry. - Good knowledge of international design codes, Classification/Statutory Rules and Regulations. - Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems. - AutoCAD, 3D software, Navisworks and Microsoft office - Strong Leadership and Interpersonal skills.
