- Set up and manage the accounting team in full-cycle of daily processes as well as month-end/year-end close processes in compliance with VAS (Vietnamese Accounting Standards) and IFRS. - Design, implement, and monitor effective internal controls and accounting policies. - Ensure timely, accurate preparation and submission of tax filings and returns (CIT, VAT, import, withholding tax, etc.) in compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Liaise with tax authorities. - Ensure timely, accurate payroll calculation and processing. - Ensure timely and accurate Group and management reporting, as well as other internal/external financial reporting to relevant authorities. - Oversee preparation and submission of financial statements following VAS and IFRS (for local compliance and group reporting purposes, respectively) - Act as the main contact for external auditors and manage the annual audit process. - Drive the successful implementation of ERP system, including needs assessment, system design, data integrity and testing. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company. - Provide financial insights and support strategic business decisions. - Develop and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Auditing. - Chief Accountant Certificate is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or ACA are a strong plus. - Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Chief Accountant role in a medium or large manufacturing company. In-depth knowledge of Vietnamese legislation (accounting, finance, and taxation) and proven expertise in IFRS. - Experienced with ERP systems (preferably MS Dynamics 365) & advanced Excel. - Experienced with payroll calculation and processing. - Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and communication. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other departments, international HQ and external parties (Banks, Government offices, Auditors, Tax authorities etc.). - Language proficiency: Vietnamese – required, English – minimum B2 level (written and spoken).
