Your Mission at kobi lighting studio Our lighting designer colleague will be involved in many projects with the artistic director and the design manager. We are seeking an individual who is smart, ambitious, organized and is very knowledgeable in lighting industry & project management to perform the required tasks as a Lighting Project Manager. The Lighting Project Manager is responsible for conceptual development of the lighting component for a construction project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation. The PM plans, directs, coordinates, communicates, solve problems, internally & externally) for enabling the project success , design compliance and client satisfaction The mission will be consisting on leading simultaneously both - Analyze the project, its challenges and its actors - Participate in the lighting design phase - Check the technical feasibility of design ideas and their social and environmental impact - Perform numerical and photometric simulations for the selected options - Participate in the evaluation and pre-selection of lighting equipment - Review and analyze drawings and specifications - Carry out drawings and sketches of lighting plans and associated documents - Supervise and/or prepare technical and production plans - Actively coordinate with project stakeholders (investors, consultants, experts and contractors) to ensure progress in the design phases, in accordance with our commitments - Discuss and meet with the client to coordinate all schedule requirements - Report key information related to the design and the project to the Lighting Design Manager - Monitor and coordinate projects remotely and on-site. - Assist in assembling and organizing the job folder (on the PC and the actual file) per established procedures - Prepare lighting design submitted deliverables for client’s approval - Lighting project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking expenses and minimizing exposure and risk to the project - Monitor the progress of the lighting design & consultancy activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with the client and management team - Periodic inspection of construction sites and attendance at job site meetings related lighting topics - Identify the elements of the lighting project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims - Oversee the project from start to finish - Perform job closeout at project completion per established policy and procedures - Other responsibilities as assigned
- Minimum of 07 years’ experience as a Lighting Project Coordinator or similar position in an independent lighting design agency; - Excellent in English & Vietnamese written and oral communication skills - Educated and trained in lighting design, architecture, landscape, engineering, interior design; - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat; - Proficiency in InDesign, AutoCAD, Word, and Excel is required. - Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Revit, Ms. Project, 3DsMax, Dialux, Lumion 8, and sketching skills desired; - Must have the ability to conceptually budget, meet deadlines, handle various projects simultaneously and work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment - Experience with construction drawings, specifications, architectural sketches and other related construction documents is preferred - Independent, autonomous, rigorous and with a proactive attitude; - Strong motivation for personal development; - Able to travel on their own (transport to the office, to meetings, etc...); - Adapts to changes, cultural differences and international standards; - Respectful and professional; - Good client management and strong relationship building skills - Strong time management and logical decision-making ability - Well-developed time scheduling and organizational skills - Bachelor's degree in a related field required
