FYI (https://fyi.me) is an innovative new messaging and productivity app for creatives. Our goal is to be the ultimate collaboration tool for artists, content creators and professionals working in the creative fields. Based in Hollywood, CA and founded by veterans in the tech and entertainment industry. JOB DESCRIPTION: SOFTWARE DEVELOPER FYI is searching for a passionate and experienced Software Developer to help us create and launch amazing product features to our users on a consistent and timely basis. Duties include: creating intuitive user experiences backed by reliable and solid code, managing and conducting necessary software evaluations, creating development reports, and conducting general software maintenance to ensure a quality product for our users. We work in small, entrepreneurial teams to solve problems, come up with solutions, and support one another. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, collaborative, and eager to make an impact at a fast-growing company. - Designing new software programs, websites, and applications. - Managing project timelines and tasks. - Creating technical documents, unit tests for new software programs. - Meeting with development managers to discuss software projects.
Required Skills and Experience
- JavaScript (1 - 3 years) - C++ or QML (1 - 3 years) - Experience in developing mobile (Android or iOS) applications using cross-platform development tools - Ability to work well with a distributed team across varying time zones. - Familiarity with open-source codebases and building user interfaces from scratch. - Ability to code for stability, efficiency and clarity. - Ability to work well with a distributed team across varying time zones. - Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to commute/relocate (Dubai): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
