System Admin Software Architecture
Job Purpose The Senior Expert, IT Architecture, will play a critical role in setting up and designing the IT infrastructure and application architecture for a newly established life insurance company. This role will focus on defining the enterprise IT architecture strategy, ensuring system scalability, seamless integration with Techcombank and third-party platforms, and supporting the digital transformation of insurance operations. The Senior Expert will work closely with business teams, IT vendors, and external partners to ensure a robust, secure, and future-proof technology foundation. Key Responsibilities Enterprise IT Architecture & System Design - Define the IT architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy, scalability, and regulatory requirements. - Develop and implement architecture standards for core insurance systems, including new business, underwriting, claims, and policy administration. - Ensure system design supports seamless integration with distribution platforms, bancassurance channels, and customer self-service applications. Collaboration with Techcombank & Business Units - Work closely with Techcombank’s IT and digital transformation teams to integrate insurance solutions with the bank’s ecosystem. - Define API and data exchange requirements to ensure real-time integration between the bank and the insurance company. - Collaborate with business units, including underwriting, claims, and policy administration, to ensure IT solutions align with operational needs. Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy - Design and oversee the implementation of cloud-based infrastructure and hybrid IT environments. - Work with IT security teams to ensure infrastructure and application designs meet cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance. - Optimize IT infrastructure for performance, availability, and disaster recovery capabilities. Third-Party Technology & Vendor Management - Engage with IT vendors, system integrators, and technology partners to develop scalable, high-performance IT solutions. - Evaluate and select core insurance platforms, middleware, and emerging technologies that enhance digital capabilities. - Define service-level agreements (SLAs) with third-party providers and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Digital Transformation & Automation - Lead the adoption of microservices, API-driven architecture, and cloud-native applications for business agility. - Implement AI, machine learning, and automation tools to enhance underwriting, claims processing, and policy servicing. - Ensure IT architecture supports a seamless omnichannel experience for customers and distribution partners. Governance, Compliance & IT Security - Ensure IT architecture aligns with regulatory requirements, including data protection laws and cybersecurity regulations. - Develop IT governance frameworks and best practices to maintain system reliability and compliance. - Work with IT security teams to implement data encryption, identity access management, and secure integration protocols. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement - Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor system performance, integration efficiency, and security posture. - Analyze IT infrastructure usage data to optimize system configurations and improve efficiency. - Continuously evaluate emerging technology trends and recommend enhancements to future-proof IT architecture.
Education - Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience - Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT architecture, system integration, and enterprise technology implementation in the life insurance or financial services industry. - Proven experience designing and implementing IT architecture frameworks for insurance core systems, cloud environments, and digital platforms. - Strong expertise in API management, microservices, and enterprise data integration. - Experience working with IT vendors, system integrators, and cloud service providers. - Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and IT governance best practices. - Track record of working in a startup or new business setup environment, building IT capabilities from the ground up. Skills & Competencies - Enterprise Architecture & IT Strategy – Expertise in designing IT architectures that align with business goals and operational efficiency. - Cloud & Infrastructure Management – Strong experience in implementing cloud-based and hybrid IT infrastructure solutions. - Digital Transformation & Emerging Technologies – Knowledge of AI, machine learning, blockchain, and automation technologies in insurance IT. - Stakeholder & Vendor Management – Strong skills in engaging with Techcombank, business teams, and IT vendors. - Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge – Familiarity with data protection laws, cybersecurity regulations, and financial industry IT standards. - Process Optimization & API Integration – Expertise in enterprise service bus (ESB), microservices, and system interoperability.
