Creative Design
Job Purpose - As a Visual/UI Designer, you’ll create designs that edify our customers’ experiences, creating moments of delight, ease and clarity that inspire them on a daily basis. - You will be responsible for shaping and designing user-centric products alongside our UX Designers, UX Copy writers, UX researchers and Developers to deliver easy-to-use products and services for the business. - The Visual/UI design role differs from the Experience Design path in that it specifically focusses creating production-ready artefacts and assets. The Visual Design path is responsible for brand, aesthetics, animation, interaction design and micro interactions, handover to dev, and takes ownership of the bank-wide Design System. Key Accountabilities (1) A. Visual Design - Develop creative and new user interface components and design system components based on user needs (delight, salience, engagement) and Techcombank branding and brand values. - Utilize and evolve the Techcombank Design System and design language. - Conduct research and optimize existing user interface design though customer feedback and testing - Drive discussions with developers and squad members to understand business goals while effectively communicating design ideas. - Drive development of design concepts and implementation; take input on user design considerations from team members. - Review functional specifications and participate in the development of design for functionality and user interface. - Review changes or enhancements for alignment with desired user experience design and satisfaction standards and drive improvement changes. - Use design tools to create storyboards, samples, prototypes and templates for demonstrations and user testing. B. Design Documentation - Use and evolve the Techcombank Design System - Notate the design system and to be easily understood by both designers and developers - Create clear guides for developers to ensure animations, transitions and interactions are perfectly implemented - Create guides for designers to improve overall team integration with the design system - Create presentation materials that elegantly communicate the vision of the product designs that you create with your teams C. Design and User Research - Evaluate market and user experience research - Propose new design based on discovered trends and patterns. - Perform user design research that tests the desirability and brand alignment of your designs - Test prototype interface and feasibility of products. - Key Relationships – Direct Manager - Design Lead and Visual Design Lead - Key Relationships – Direct Reports (none specified) - Key Relationships – Internal Stakeholders - POs and Initiative Directors - Key Relationships – External Stakeholders Customers, partners providing professional services
Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences - 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in visual design/UI work - Experience in designing consumer quality experiences and products on both web and mobile platforms - Experience in designing clear and creative artifacts - Skilled with at least two visual design tools (Adobe, Figma and SketchApp) - Experience with Design Systems - Experience as a Designer in an agile team, along with detailed working knowledge of Agile - Experience working in Agile teams or in a collaborative team environment which includes discussions around creative reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback to and from team members and clients. - Bachelor's Degree in design or equivalent experience
