- FLIN operates in a segment where traditional credit underwriting fails. Your role is to build a system that can: • Underwrite chaos • Structure risk • Enable responsible growth - This is a rare opportunity to build a next-generation credit engine for distressed lending. - Credit Framework Design (0→1 Ownership): • Build credit underwriting logic for restructuring + refinancing products from first principles • Define eligibility criteria beyond traditional bureau-led models • Develop risk segmentation frameworks for distressed borrowers • Design approval matrices, cut-offs, and exception handling frameworks • Continuously iterate policies based on real portfolio feedback - Credit Decisioning & Approvals: • Evaluate and approve credit applications within defined authority • Handle edge cases where standard underwriting does not apply • Design structured approval logic for multi-loan, high-risk borrowers • Balance growth vs risk with clear decision rationale - Scorecard & Model Development: • Build and refine predictive credit models using structured + alternative data • Perform feature engineering on borrower behavior, repayment patterns, and exposure data • Continuously back-test and recalibrate scorecards - Portfolio Analytics & Risk Monitoring: • Own portfolio performance tracking end-to-end • Analyze: ○ Delinquency trends (DPD buckets) ○ Vintage curves ○ Cohort performance • Build early warning systems for risk deterioration • Identify high-risk segments and recommend corrective actions - Risk-Product Integration and Reporting: • Work closely with product and sales teams to ensure credit logic aligns with real-world borrower behavior • Translate portfolio insights into product changes (tenure, pricing, structuring). • Assist in building automated dashboards for: ○ Approval rates ○ Portfolio performance ○ Risk segmentation ○ Funnel conversion vs risk • Own data integrity and reporting accuracy - Individual Ownership → Future Team Build: • Initial Phase (0–6 months): • Pure individual contributor • Own credit decisions end-to-end • Build underwriting judgment and portfolio understanding • Future Phase (based on performance): • Support the hiring of junior credit analysts • Mentor and review underwriting decisions • Help build the credit team structure and workflows - Experimentation & Continuous Learning: • Run controlled experiments (policy changes, cut-offs, segmentation strategies) • Measure impact on: ○ Approval rates ○ Default rates ○ Unit economics • Build a culture of test → learn → iterate - Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work with: ○ Sales (to understand borrower reality) ○ Collections and Financial Literacy (to understand failure patterns) ○ Data (to improve data capture) ○ Product and Tech (to implement decision engines) • Close the loop between underwriting assumptions and actual outcomes

- 4–7 years in credit risk/analytics in fintech or digital lending startups - Must have worked in a 0→10 stage environment (early-stage or scaling phase) - Hands-on experience in: • Credit underwriting • Risk analytics • Portfolio monitoring • Scorecard/model building - Experience in unsecured lending or subprime segments strongly preferred - Advanced Excel / Google Sheets: • Scenario modeling • Risk simulations • Complex financial analysis - SQL: • Data extraction • Portfolio analysis • Writing complex queries - Preferred: • Python: • Exploratory data analysis • Feature engineering • Basic model building • BI Tools (Power BI / Tableau - Core Competencies: • Strong first-principles thinking • High ownership and accountability • Comfort with ambiguity and incomplete data • Deep analytical curiosity • Ability to challenge assumptions • Strong business + risk judgment balance • Detail-oriented with big-picture thinking
