Job Overview And Responsibility
• Lead complex data migrations from legacy systems (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SAP HANA, ODBC sources) to Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery. • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Airflow, SQL, and GCP services. • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to gather evolving requirements and deliver value iteratively. • Provide hands-on engineering support while setting architecture direction and enforcing best practices. • Optimize performance of ETL/ELT workflows and ensure data reliability and accuracy. • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for client hand-off or ongoing support teams. • Support pre-sales and client onboarding discussions with technical insight when needed.
Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role • Strong SQL skills with the ability to handle complex queries and data transformations • Experience working with ODBC-based data sources and executing complex data migrations • Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, especially BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub • Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for orchestration and scheduling • Working knowledge of Azure Data Factory • Solid understanding of data pipeline optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling • Ability to adapt quickly to changing client requirements and manage multiple client projects • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) for daily client interactions, documentation, and meetings
