Job Overview And Responsibility
Overview: The Master Data Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and governance of master data across the enterprise. This role supports business processes and system integrity by managing vendor, customer, material, and finance master data, in alignment with data governance policies and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Create, update, validate, and maintain master data records (vendors and custoers) in SAP/S4HANA and related systems. - Ensure adherence to data governance policies, standards, and quality protocols across all master data domains. - Perform data cleansing, deduplication, and enrichment activities to improve data quality and support business transformation (e.g., S/4HANA migration). - Monitor and resolve master data issues, collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure timely resolution. - Support vendor and customer onboarding by validating supporting documents against company policy (e.g., bank account verification, compliance checks). - Conduct regular audits and generate reports to monitor data quality, completeness, and compliance. - Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, workflows, and approval processes. - Provide training and support to business users on data management processes and standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Data Management, or related field. - Experience in SAP/S4HANA (or similar ERP systems) with hands-on exposure to master data management. (3+ year of relevant experience) - Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality standards, and compliance requirements. - Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
