We are seeking an experienced and visionary Engineering Manager to join our Technology Innovations CoE at Crossian LLC. This leadership role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction of our technology initiatives and leading our software product development team. You will consult directly with C-level executives, including the CEO and Board of Management (BOM), to help steer daily operations in our tech-centric and tech-driven retail business. Operating within a dynamic, Agile, tech-startup environment, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that innovation is integrated into every stage of our product development life cycle. As the leader of our TECH - Technology Innovations CoE and PMI - Product Management Innovation CoE, you will foster an open and Agile mindset, promoting creativity and innovation across the organization. Your strategic thinking and strong technical abilities will guide both your team and the entire company towards achieving our ambitious goals in the DTC/eCommerce space, utilizing OKR-based and Value-Driven Development (VDD) approaches. Our aim is to build a comprehensive DTC/eCommerce Platform featuring solutions for Storefront, Payment Gateway, Inventory, Catalogs, Logistics, Marketing Insights, CRM, and more: Develop a Storefront solution. Centralize payment gateways for managing transactions and post-payment processes (e.g., refunds, chargebacks, claims, inquiries). Integrate various third-party services to operate a complete supply-chain system, including inventory, catalogs, logistics tracking, and more. Convert raw data from marketing campaigns, transactions, user behavior, etc., into valuable insights for business operations. Plus, numerous other opportunities await your input. WHAT YOU WILL DO Technical Strategy and Cross-Functional Collaboration Provide expert advice to C-level executives to define and implement the Company's Technical & Product Roadmap. Stay abreast of emerging technologies to drive continuous innovation. Work closely with Business Owners, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business goals. Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams. Team Leadership and Product Development Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, including budgeting, hiring, and capacity planning. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture aligned with Agile methodologies. Implement Value-Driven Development (VDD) to ensure efforts deliver maximum business value. Encourage lean startup methodologies and a Product-focused mindset. Ensure optimal utilization of tools, technologies, and team capabilities. Review and guide the team in creating Requirements and Technical Specifications for the entire product development process. Process & Project Management Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and high quality following an OKR-based approach. Implement best practices in software development and Agile methodologies. Continuously enhance engineering practices to improve efficiency and product quality. Quality Assurance Leadership Manage and guide the team & Quality Manager to establish and maintain robust Quality Assurance processes. Promote a culture of quality and instill a quality mindset across the engineering team. Encourage shared responsibility for product quality among all team members. Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture Management Lead and manage the team of IT, Infra/Ops & Architects responsible for infrastructure and software architecture. Build, guide, and review the software architecture and infrastructure/operations architecture for the entire product. Oversee deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of multi-region cloud hosting services to ensure 24/7 system availability. Implement strategies for scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery. Ensure the infrastructure and architecture are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance. IT Operations and System Management Oversee the IT Support team responsible for all company office items, devices, and software. Ensure efficient operation of office infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems. Implement and enforce IT policies to maintain security and efficiency. Coordinate with HR and admin departments for IT asset management during onboarding/offboarding. Develop and enforce best practices for system uptime and performance. Monitor system health and respond promptly to issues or outages. Implement security protocols and compliance standards to protect data integrity. Manage and schedule the IT team to provide nightshift support, ensuring 24/7 assistance for users.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university. Experience: Minimum of 12 years in software engineering, with at least 8 years in a Senior Leadership role, preferably within an eCommerce tech-startup environment. Professional experience that covers at least 70% of the responsibilities outlined above. Proven experience in building and implementing technology strategies within Agile environments. Demonstrate a strong product mindset with experience in Value-Driven Development (VDD) and OKR-based approaches. Extensive experience in controlling Product Quality in production environments and a strong Quality-mindset. Experience consulting with C-level executives and presenting to senior leadership. Technical Skills: Project Management Skills: strong project management abilities, demonstrating experience in successfully managing complex projects. Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), DevOps practices, .NET Core and React.js technologies, Microservices Architecture, Data engineering, and modern Software Development methodologies. Strong understanding of Value-Driven Development (VDD) and OKR-based management. Familiarity with Lean-Startup methodologies and Product-Lifecycle management.
