Job Overview And Responsibility

Product Strategy and Development: - Develop a comprehensive product strategy for our Prime Brokerage offering in the crypto market, aligning with the company's overall goals and vision, working closely with the Head of Prime Brokerage, the Head of Infrastructure and the Head of Operations. - Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to drive product innovation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Prime Brokerage Division of Matrixport as well as with other Matrixport teams, including engineering, design, operations, and compliance to define product requirements and prioritize feature development. - Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and features. Technical Expertise: - In-depth knowledge of trading practices and workflows within the financial industry, particularly in the context of trading firms and institutional clients. - Familiarity with order management systems (OMS), execution management systems (EMS), and other trading platforms commonly used by trading firms. - Understanding of different trading strategies employed by institutional clients and the ability to tailor the Prime Brokerage product to support their needs. - Experience in integrating with various liquidity providers, exchanges, and trading venues to ensure seamless connectivity and execution capabilities. - Knowledge of post-trade processes, including trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. - Familiarity with risk management techniques and methodologies used by trading firms, including pre-trade risk checks and position monitoring. - Ability to analyze and interpret trading data, such as order flow, trade volumes, and market trends, to provide valuable insights and optimize the product offering. - Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with trading firms and institutional clients, understanding their business requirements, and delivering exceptional client service. - Strong understanding of market structure and regulatory considerations specific to the crypto market, including compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations. - Possess a strong technical understanding of the FIX protocol and its application within the crypto market. - Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the effective implementation of FIX technology in the Prime Brokerage platform. - Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including sales, support, and operations teams. Stakeholder Management: - Engage with key stakeholders, including clients, trading partners, and internal teams, to understand their needs, gather feedback, and effectively communicate product updates. - Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and sales enablement materials. - Act as a subject matter expert, representing the company and the Prime Brokerage product offering at industry events, conferences, and client meetings. Risk Management and Compliance: - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the crypto market and Prime Brokerage operations. - Collaborate with compliance teams to define and implement risk management and security measures within the platform. Performance Monitoring and Analysis: - Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and effectiveness of the Prime Brokerage product. - Analyze market trends, user feedback, and data analytics to identify opportunities for product improvement and optimization.

Required Skills and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration) is required. - Proven experience (5 years) as a Product Manager in the crypto industry, such as a crypto exchange or crypto trading firm, or more generally in the financial industry, preferably within the Prime Brokerage or a related area. - Strong knowledge of the crypto market, including an understanding of digital assets, trading platforms, and blockchain technology. - Sufficient understanding of the FIX protocol and its application and limitations in financial markets. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the crypto market is desirable. - Bilingual proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required. The candidate should be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members in both languages. - Fluency in Mandarin is particularly important as it enables effective communication with clients and trading firms in regions where Mandarin is commonly spoken, such as China and other parts of Asia. - The ability to translate technical and financial concepts accurately and clearly between English and Mandarin is essential.
