Job Overview And Responsibility

- Oversee all lodge operations end-to-end: guest services, F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, and activities — from arrival to departure. - Lead, motivate, and develop a 160-person team across departments; build an inclusive, service-first culture that retains talent in a remote environment. - Maintain the highest standards of eco-friendly practice consistent with Topas Ecolodge s sustainability commitments and National Geographic recognition. - Own the lodge P&L: manage budgets, monitor costs, optimise revenue streams, and report to ownership with clear financial insight. - Drive consistent guest experience quality, respond to feedback, and continuously raise standards across all touchpoints. - Manage vendor and supplier relationships, logistics, and maintenance schedules specific to the highland location. - Work closely with the Hanoi sales and marketing team to align operational capacity with commercial priorities and booking patterns. - Represent the lodge s values in dealings with local communities and cultural heritage initiatives in the Sapa region.

Required Skills and Experience

- Substantive experience working in Vietnam — you understand the culture, the workforce, and what it takes to operate in a remote highland location. - Senior hospitality management background, ideally in eco-tourism, boutique resorts, or independent luxury properties; experience managing remote or operationally challenging environments is highly valued. - Proven track record leading large on-site teams (100+ staff) with demonstrable results in team development, retention, and service quality. - Strong financial acumen: budget ownership, cost control, and P&L accountability. - Exceptional communication skills and fluency in English; ability to work effectively with an international ownership team. - Hands-on, present leadership style — this role requires being at the lodge, not managing from a distance.

Preferred skills and experiences

- Proficiency in Vietnamese or another local language. - Direct experience with sustainability certifications or eco-lodge operations. - Background in adventure tourism, trekking, or activity-based guest programming. - Familiarity with Sapa, the Northwest region, or hill-tribe cultural context.
