Job Overview And Responsibility
- Build chatbots and AI tutoring features that students and teacher actually use - Work with both API-based models (OpenAI, etc.) and locally hosted open-source models (Qwen, etc.) - Design prompts, integrate retrieval over learning content, and tune model behavior for real students - Utilize school, teacher, and student’s data to train the model - Handle multilingual scenarios (English, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin) where relevant - Ship code that runs reliably in production - Real users (students in HK, China and Vietnam) using what you build
Required Skills and Experience
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience building chatbots or conversational AI products - Good English communication skills - Hands-on experience building chatbots or conversational AI - Working knowledge of LLMs: prompting, context handling, embeddings, RAG basics, OCR - Comfortable with both the OpenAI API and running/serving local models (Ollama, vLLM, llama.cpp, or similar) - Self-driven — you ll be the AI person, not one of many
