Job Overview And Responsibility

Role Purpose As the OutSystems Lead, you will be the technical cornerstone and people leader for our Low-Code competency. Reporting to the Delivery Manager, you are responsible for building, managing, and inspiring a high-performing team of OutSystems developers. Key Responsibilities 1. OutSystems Competency Leadership & Evangelism- Team Growth: Actively lead recruitment, technical assessments, and cultural fit evaluations to scale the OutSystems team. - Talent Attraction: Represent the company in the tech community to influence and attract skilled developers to join the VCC. - Technical Mentorship: Define and refine technical career paths, ensuring the team stays ahead of the curve in Low-Code, Cloud, and AI integration. - Culture Building: Foster a collaborative, innovative environment that promotes respect, continuous learning, and high employee engagement. 2. Technical Quality & Operational Excellence - Standard Setting: Establish and maintain high standards for OutSystems development, documentation, artifact versioning, and architectural best practices. - Troubleshooting: Act as the ultimate technical point of escalation, providing dynamic solutions for complex logic or integration show-stoppers. - Process Optimization: Establish new technical controls and systemic mechanisms to monitor the health of OutSystems applications. - Performance Management: Deploy robust performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to identify and nurture "rising stars" within the team. 3. Stakeholder Influence & Resource Management - Strategic Influence: Use high emotional intelligence to influence key technical decisions, mediate conflicts, and build consensus between developers and business stakeholders. - Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of IT professionals across various projects, ensuring optimal utilization and skill-to-task alignment. - Innovation: Foresee technical risks and proactively suggest modern technology stacks (Microservices, AI, Cloud) to complement the OutSystems ecosystem.

Required Skills and Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. - Leadership: At least 5 years of experience supervising an Application Management or Software Development team. - Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in the OutSystems platform, with a strong grasp of Low-Code patterns, Cloud computing, and modern architectures. - Communication: Excellent English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to "sell" a vision to both candidates and stakeholders. - Team Building: Demonstrated track record of establishing new teams from scratch (recruitment, onboarding, and culture setting). - Methodology: Proficiency in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) - Adaptability: Ability to thrive in ambiguous, complex environments and make decisive calls to overcome technical roadblocks.
