Job Overview And Responsibility

Operations Build-Out & Execution (Core PM Scope) a. Oversee daily operations of an initial fleet of ~500 electric motorcycles across ~50 fixed return stations. b. Build, train, and manage on-the-ground operational teams responsible for fleet availability, station operations, maintenance, and customer service. c. Design, document, and continuously improve SOPs covering fleet management, battery swapping/charging, station operations, maintenance workflows, and incident handling. d. Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure vehicle uptime, safety, and availability targets are consistently met. e. Handle customer escalations and drive service quality improvements in collaboration with customer support teams. Fleet, Asset & Performance Management a. Monitor and analyze key operational metrics including fleet utilization, battery performance, station capacity, downtime, and rebalancing efficiency. b. Use data to identify operational bottlenecks, cost drivers, and optimization opportunities. c. Work closely with product and tech teams to improve GPS tracking, fleet management tools, and operational dashboards. d. Ensure disciplined asset management practices to reduce loss, damage, and operational leakage. Project Management & Cross-Functional Coordination a. Lead cross-functional initiatives involving operations, product, marketing, and external vendors to launch new stations, pilots, or service improvements. b. Support user acquisition and retention initiatives by ensuring operational readiness and service reliability during growth campaigns. c. Manage vendors and suppliers related to maintenance, logistics, equipment, and infrastructure. Early P&L Ownership & Business Discipline a. Participate in operational budgeting, cost control, and unit economics tracking for the Vietnam market. b. Support demand forecasting and fleet allocation planning to balance supply and demand efficiently. c. Prepare operational and financial reports for regional and HQ leadership, highlighting risks, trade-offs, and growth opportunities. d. Gradually take on increased ownership of operational performance targets as the business scales. Regulatory Awareness & Market Readiness a. Ensure day-to-day operations comply with local regulations related to electric vehicles, parking, charging, and shared mobility. b. Support leadership in preparing operational inputs for government discussions and regulatory engagement. c. Build an understanding of how regulatory constraints shape deployment strategy and scalability in Vietnam.

Required Skills and Experience

1. Experience a. 3–5 years of experience in operations management, project management, or logistics-heavy businesses. b. Strong preference for backgrounds in shared mobility, vehicle rental, last-mile logistics, or asset-intensive platforms. c. Proven experience launching or scaling operations in emerging or complex markets. d. Track record of managing teams of 15–20+ people across multiple locations. e. Experience working in Vietnam or South East Asia is strongly preferred. 2. Skills a. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple workstreams in fast-changing environments. b. Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience tracking operational KPIs and costs. c. Strong problem-solving ability for operational, technical, and people-related challenges. d. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. 3. Technical & Operational Knowledge a. Solid understanding of electric motorcycle operations and battery swap/charging systems. b. Familiarity with GPS tracking, fleet management software, and operational dashboards. c. Understanding of mobile app–based service platforms and their impact on user experience. d. Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance protocols and safety standards. 4. Language a. Fluency in Vietnamese and English is required. 5. Education a. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred skills and experiences

- Mandarin or Chinese proficiency is a strong advantage for cross-border reporting and coordination. - MBA or project management certifications (PMP, Agile) are a plus but not required.
