Management Engineering
1. People & Performance Management - Lead and mentor the team to achieve high-quality performance and professional growth. - Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings to discuss workload, collaboration, well-being, and relocation readiness. - Identify and support underperforming members through structured improvement plans. - Maintain high retention by keeping top performers engaged and recognized. - Prioritize team morale and individual well-being during long-term overseas assignments. - Weekly 1:1 Agenda includes: Working hours, collaboration, blockers, relocation, and additional needs. 2. Daily Work Management & Quality Control - Host daily standups (aligned with Vietnam/US time) for consistency, transparency, and accountability. - Ensure each member reports daily updates: task, collaboration, assistance, risks. - Conduct daily quality reviews using AWS Workspaces and Azure DevOps Boards. - Review code progress regularly and require weekly demo sessions. - Maintain visibility and ensure continuous delivery quality. 3. Project & Delivery Management - Oversee all project activities from planning to delivery, ensuring schedule, quality, and budget adherence. - Coordinate with Product Owners and leadership for sprint goals and priorities. - Identify risks early and implement proactive mitigation actions. - Ensure documentation, reporting, and discipline across all deliverables. 4. Technical Leadership - Provide technical direction and review for Customer-related systems and integrations. - Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and solution evaluations. - Reinforce best practices: CI/CD, unit testing, and documentation. - Lead modernization and automation initiatives to enhance productivity. 5. Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration - Act as the primary liaison between Vietnam team and U.S. team. - Establish and enforce clear communication protocols for project updates. - Report daily technical updates and weekly personnel summaries to leadership. - Escalate critical issues immediately to Customer or CTO - Discuss and align all proposed changes with CTO before execution. 6. Organizational Contribution - Contribute to Bestarion engineering culture of accountability and improvement. - Support recruitment and onboarding of new engineers. - Facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and alignment across teams. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 8+ years in software development, including 3+ years in leadership or management. - Proven ability to lead distributed or offshore teams effectively. - Strong understanding of software architecture and scalability. - Hands-on experience with modern stacks (.NET, Java, Node.js, React, or Angular). - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Fluent English communication (written and spoken).
