Job Overview And Responsibility
- FTL dispatching across China — manage requests, provide instructions to shippers, and move cargo through the stages. - Consolidation — combine 3 shipments into 2 trucks (using a consolidation warehouse or collecting en route), while maintaining the “shrinkage” effect based on our volume (5–7 requests per day). - Direct carriers and warehouses — engage directly with trucking providers and warehouses (we have approx. 500 contacts) and negotiate without involving forwarders. - Rates and cost price — negotiate lower rates with the consolidator agent; target rate for Shanghai → Manzhouli: 10,000 RMB (currently 12,500 RMB). - Warehouse procedures — ensure photo/video documentation and timestamps during transloading. - Market monitoring + supplier database. - Integration with our request/ticket system (AR) — track and log events related to China operations.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in FTL freight transportation within China (trucking, not container/FCL). - Direct working experience with Chinese carrier companies as a forwarder or dispatcher. - Proven, active network of transport contractors in China - Ability to process and execute freight requests end-to-end under time pressure. - Written English proficiency sufficient for coordination with Russian colleagues via text or email (spoken English not required).
