As a Software Tester (Automation/Manual) at Breadstack, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that powers world-class e-commerce solutions. In this dual role, you’ll engage in both manual and automation testing, working closely with a development team to enhance testing processes, optimize software quality, and drive continuous improvement. Manual Testing - Review requirements, user documentation, and other project documentation to create a checklist and test cases. - Perform manual test case execution as required. - Write and maintain API testing scripts. - Log bugs, evaluate bug severity, and track bug status. - Self-manage personal work and report progress to the team leader. Automation Testing - Discuss and define automation testing workflow, and provide training to team members. - Integrate automation with the company’s infrastructure to create and maintain automated scheduled build verification tests and enhance the infrastructure. - Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects and test environments. - Research and document bug reports immediately upon discovering a quality problem, following agreed-upon processes.
- At least 2 years of experience in testing - Strong knowledge of testing concepts and software development life cycles - Exceptional ability to develop maintainable test automation solutions using Playwright, Appium, or similar technologies - Hands-on experience with system, functional, smoke, and regression testing - Proven experience using programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python for testing automation tasks - Experience with version control systems (GIT) - Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipeline, CloudBuild) - Knowledge of Docker for containerization - Clear understanding of business requirements - Attention to detail - Analytical mind and problem-solving attitude - Responsible and willing to learn - Experience with Content/UI testing - Good problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risk - Strong collaboration skills within an Agile team
- Certification in Testing (e.g., ISTQB) is desirable - Experience in software engineering best practices - Experience testing in the E-commerce domain - Proficient in English communication (writing, reading, speaking, and listening) - Strong documentation skills - Experience in non-functional testing; Performance and Security testing is a plus - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
